Tosa City is located in the western part of Kochi Prefecture and is known for producing kozo, the raw material for washi (Japanese paper), as well as its traditional craft of Tosa washi. In this region, a multipurpose facility called the "Tosa City Complex Cultural Facility Tunade" has opened, providing a free space for intergenerational exchange, an event hall, and public facilities to support citizens' daily lives through cooking and music activities. The facility features the "Blue Hall," where a Tango (Hook) curtain has been adopted. The design of the curtain is inspired by the Niyodogawa River, featuring a blue base that gradually lightens towards the top, symbolizing light as seen from beneath the water. The hall's design allows natural light to enter from above the seating area, creating a feeling of being immersed in the river. Additionally, the lattice pattern of the curtain reflects the building's distinctive steel curtain wall, harmonizing the design with the structure itself.
