The National Kyoto International Conference Center, located adjacent to Lake Hoagaki in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, is a historic public facility that opened in 1966 as Japan's first national international conference center. It was also the site where the Kyoto Protocol was adopted in 1997. The facility's main hall is a vast, four-story atrium space used for various events, including academic conferences, lectures, and concerts. Recently, due to seismic renovation work at the facility, the carpets were updated with the adoption of a custom Wilton carpet and the horizontal recycling carpet tile "ECOS®." After multiple prototypes were developed without compromising the existing image, we successfully delivered the products after gaining approval from the client, designers, and general contractors.
