Yasuda Gakuen was founded in 1915 when Mr. Goichi Yasuda and Ms. Riyou Yasuda began classes by borrowing part of the Jizenji temple located in Nakajima Honcho, Hiroshima City. In 1945, due to the war, the school building was completely destroyed, and many people associated with the school, including founder Mr. Goichi Yasuda, faculty, and students, lost their lives. However, with a strong will, they persevered in their beliefs and achieved reconstruction. Even now, under the spirit of "Softly and Strongly," they continue to evolve to adapt to a society where lifestyles and values are diversifying, particularly for women. Recently, with the construction of a new hall for Yasuda Gakuen, curtains and carpet tiles were adopted. The design of this curtain was created with the concept of "STEAM education," which is gaining global attention as a future-oriented educational model. STEAM education refers to the educational philosophy that aims to cultivate 21st-century human resources who can take action to improve society by learning across the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics and applying that knowledge. The design carries a message that encourages students to reflect on their school days while gazing at the sky and to engage with society without fearing change. Additionally, the flooring in the hall's corridor features the horizontal circulation-type recycled carpet tile "ECOS® (Ecos)" iD-4100 series. The ECOS iD-4100 series boasts a chic earth-tone pattern inspired by gravel, with a recycled material ratio of 66% and a CO₂ reduction rate of 28%, making it an environmentally friendly product. Along with the ECOS iD-7100 series and ECOS LX-2500 series, it was selected as an eco-friendly carpet tile for the facility.
