Shiroyama Hotel Kagoshima is a representative hotel of Kagoshima, located on a high point in Shiroyama, offering a spectacular view of the city below, the iconic Sakurajima and Kinko Bay. The design concept draws inspiration from the shine of pearls, reflecting the gentle waves of Kinko Bay, creating an image that blankets the entire hall. The carpet is in a calm gray-beige, creating a space that complements the "omotenashi" (hospitality) of Japanese culture, aligning with the image of the Pearl Hall.
For the curtains, we aimed to enhance the carpet's appearance by drawing inspiration from the pearl oyster that nurtures and protects the pearl, presenting a color scheme that exudes both richness and warmth.
