Kurashiki Ivy Square is a historical facility that was constructed in 1889 as the old Kurashiki Spinning Factory and renovated in 1973 into a tourist facility. It is located in the "Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter," which evokes the atmosphere of the Meiji and Taisho periods, featuring a building with red brick walls covered in ivy. For this project, the banquet hall building was fitted with the custom printed carpet tile ESQUISSE. The banquet hall "Emerald" incorporates a design that merges the imagery derived from its name with ivy. The lobby and hallway feature motifs inspired by the stone patterns of the courtyard visible through the large windows in front of the banquet hall. The "Emerald" banquet hall is the largest in Kurashiki City and can be divided into three sections, making it a versatile facility for various needs, including meetings and events of all sizes. The carpet was finished in a way that harmonizes with the historic surroundings while adding a new image.
