In today's super-aged society, the Osaka Koufukai Social Welfare Corporation is founded on the basic philosophy of providing users with a sense of the value of "life" through the "spirit of hospitality." In November 2012, they received authorization to establish the corporation and began the construction of the Special Nursing Home "Kourakuen," which was the corporation's first project. For the production of the hand-woven tsuzure tapestry that was adopted this time, we based the design on the facility's three core themes: 1. Creating "happiness" in daily life, 2. Creating an environment that makes living enjoyable, and 3. Creating a "garden" of joy just beyond the familiar environment. We depicted the healthy seas of Okinawa, using a delicate texture and a variety of colors in the tapestry's weaving. We hope this space provides comfort to all who use the facility.
