Reviving “leftover thread” and turning it into a resource for the future
Directly managed e-commerce shop cucan has launched a home-use upcycled rug, “Re:Rug,” which was born from the “SUMINOE Leftover Thread Recycling Project,” on a crowdfunding platform.Sold at "Makuake" from 12:00 on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026.I will do it.
"Re:Rug" is an upcycled rug for home use that contributes to reducing waste by reusing leftover yarn that is free from quality issues during the rug manufacturing process, while providing high-quality, well-designed rugs at an affordable price.
We have received requests to resell the first series, but since we only have a limited amount of yarn left, we are unable to produce additional copies of the same item.
ThereThe second edition will be produced with a new design.
