Tamano City decided on a rebuilding policy in March 2021, and formulated the ``Tamano City Hall Improvement Basic Plan'' in March 2022, in order to resolve various issues such as the lack of seismic performance of the current government building, which was built in 1966, and to strengthen its disaster prevention function as a temporary evacuation site in the event of an emergency, in the event of a large-scale disaster such as a Nankai Trough earthquake that is expected to occur in the future. The new government building was completed in June 2026.

The carpet in the 4th floor conference hall is a custom-made blue color from the ECOS iD-9100 series, inspired by Tamano City's Seto Inland Sea.
