Tamana City is the central city in the northern part of Kumamoto Prefecture, where national and prefectural branch offices are located. On October 3, 2005, Tamana City merged on equal terms with the neighboring towns of Taimei Town, Yokoshima Town, and Tensui Town, and became Tamana City under the new city system. Tamana City Hall was built by Tamana City to become a symbolic base for the city's new urban development for the future. The design of the stage curtains is based on the building's concept of ``the homeland of music,'' and uses bold colors to bring together the sense of rhythm of sound created by the geometric expression of the exterior and the sunset over the Ariake Sea, which is Tamana City's rich natural environment. In addition, the "gold and silver threads" that are characteristic of Tsuzuri Nishikiori and the design thread "haku thread" are effectively woven into the fabric to create a simple and modern look.
