Taketoyo Town, located on the east coast in the central part of the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture, is a town with a population of 43,000 and rich in nature. In the Chita Peninsula, where the food industry has long been flourishing, Taketoyo Town faces Kinuura Port, so it has thriving industries including thermal power plants, supporting the economy of the Tokai region. The Taketoyo Town Central Community Center in Aichi Prefecture, which opened in 1976 and is located in the center of the town, will undergo renovation work to address aging stage equipment, and will also be replacing its stage curtains. We selected "Suminoe Art Doncho," which has excellent cost performance among stage curtains, is lightweight, and has a good design. The current JR Taketoyo Line, which runs through this town, is Aichi Prefecture's first railway with a long history, having opened in 1886, and has supported the development of Taketoyo Town. Additionally, there is a turntable that is said to only exist in Taketoyo in Japan, and is a registered tangible cultural property of the country. Therefore, the design of the curtain was based on the theme of passing on railway culture to future generations and the future development of Taketoyo Town. The 10 rings of light are based on railway wheels and represent the nine stations of the current Taketoyo Line and one station that continues to the Tokaido Main Line. We have decided to deliver curtains with bright and brilliant colors and compositions from the historic Taketoyo Line, hoping for further development in the future.
