    ■About Tango Textile Doncho
Tango Textile, which was in charge of the production, is engaged in the production of stage Doncho, Rugs, Mats, etc. with a focus on "Tango Dantsu" by combining skilled hand-weaving techniques with the latest equipment. The quality of our elegant and dignified artistic textiles is highly acclaimed, and they are used in many famous buildings and luxury car mats.
For over half a century, Tango Textile's stage curtains have played an active role in representative Japanese traditional culture. Among these, Nishijin Hontsuzureori Doncho is one of the pinnacles of artistic textiles that is unrivaled in its style, and is a handicraft that demonstrates the skilled skills of craftsmen using hundreds of colored threads based on original paintings. The stage Doncho that was adopted this time is intended to be used as a second stage for projection, and has a design with a total gradation of relatively light colors. Producing curtains in these colors is more difficult and requires a higher level of skill. In fact, at the weaving site, it took time to create a balance between the changing pale colors, and it took 11 months to weave it using threads of over 200 colors.

    How to make Doncho

In recent years, SUMINOE GROUP has been moving forward with changes such as efforts in the non-textile field and further globalization, while still continuing to engage in the production of arts and crafts textiles such as hand-woven dantsu (carpets), which was our original business. Protecting and nurturing traditional techniques, which are Japan's historical industry, is the mission of our company SUMINOE Co., Ltd., which has continued for over 140 years, and we believe that it is our contribution to culture. We will continue to work to create spaces that are friendly to people and society by providing a wide range of products.
