Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture is a town located in the southwestern part of Kochi Prefecture. There is an abundance of forest resources, and Japan's last clear stream, the Shimanto River, is visited by canoes and SUPs, surfers visit the beach, and driving and cycling with submerged bridges and spectacular mountain views will enrich your soul. As the former Shimanto City Cultural Center and Central Community Center deteriorate, "Art Stage Curtains" have been adopted for "Shimantopia (Shimanto City General Cultural Center)," which opened in April 2024 as a new place for citizens to relax. The curtain pattern was designed by FABRIKO Co., Ltd., with the image of the sparkle reflected on the surface of the river, commonly known as ``Akatetsu Bridge'' (Shimanto River Bridge, Watarikawa Bridge), which spans the clear Shimanto River, which is a symbol of Nakamura, Shimanto City. We use a variety of patterns with no repeats, and we are particular about the red color. In addition, by designing it in the same style as the upholstery fabric, we created a space with a sense of unity that harmonizes with the audience seats, floor, and walls. In terms of operation, it is a rare device that can be opened and closed with a discount, but can also be lifted up and down. When opened and closed, the soft texture unique to jacquard curtains further enhances the design. We hope that the stage curtains we have delivered this time will be loved by the citizens as well as the facilities forever.
