Mima City is located in the northwestern part of Tokushima Prefecture, and opened as a regional exchange center in May 2018 after extensive renovations of a large shopping center facing the Yoshinogawa River. Suminoe Art curtains were used in the hall of this facility. The design of the stage curtain features Mima Japanese umbrellas and crape myrtle flowers, with the historic townscape of Udatsu in the background, Mt. Tsurugi, the highest peak in Tokushima Prefecture, and the Yoshino River, the clearest stream in Japan. The stage curtains are richly expressive by interweaving realistic and abstract designs with a special indigo blue base. As Mima City continues to develop while inheriting its history, culture, and traditions, we hope that it will be loved by all of its citizens for many years to come.
