In November 2016, Kochi Prefectural Kochi Higashi High School held its 40th anniversary ceremony, and the alumni association "Rissikai," consisting of graduates and faculty members, donated a curtain for the school's gymnasium to celebrate the anniversary. The design theme utilized the spirit of the school motto "Risshi," incorporating the check pattern used in uniforms, deep indigo with maroon lines, and the school emblem symbolizing future growth and development, featuring gradient colors and hidden text. The Suminoe Art Stage Curtain adopted this time is woven based on a digitized design, using an electronic Jacquard machine, with the fabric sewn to curtain size, resulting in a single curtain. Since digital data is utilized, it can accommodate short lead times. It has a thickness comparable to ready-made curtains and boasts excellent durability and stability. Furthermore, it is compatible with stage equipment using the split-draw method.
