Hoheikan, a nationally designated important cultural property, was built in 1880 as a government-built Western-style hotel under the direct control of the Development Commission. The following year, it became the residence of Emperor Meiji, and was used as a lodging facility for the imperial family and government officials, and in 1964 it was designated as an important cultural property of the country. A complete renovation project was carried out over a period of four years, and with the cooperation of a construction company and an interior design contractor, the carpets and curtains were restored to their original condition. We spent a considerable amount of time and effort in restoring the item to its original condition, relying only on research on the composition of the existing item and photographs, and matching the position of the existing pattern, but thanks to the cooperation of our SUMINOE GROUP's Kyoto Arts and Crafts Center and other related parties, we were able to successfully hand over the item. In addition to being used as a wedding venue, the facility is also open to the public, so please stop by if you are in the Sapporo area.
